What's included

Seven coordinated resources, nineteen files, one download.

01 · Quick-Start Guide — 14 pages. The shortest path from overwhelmed to ready. Read it in one sitting.

02 · Main Guide — 76 pages. How college actually works, chapter by chapter: self-advocacy and problem solving, professional communication, academic systems, money, health, campus life.

03 · Workbook & Toolkit — 67 pages. Planning tools, practice pages and readiness checklists, including a 48-question readiness diagnostic. Fillable and print editions.

04 · Scenario Card Deck — 20 real college situations to rehearse. Screen edition, print-and-cut edition, a separate model-process guide and a response sheet. The model processes are a separate file on purpose, so your student attempts the card before seeing the answer.

05 · 30-Day College Independence Challenge — 22 pages. Thirty focused daily actions with a progress dashboard. Fillable and print editions.

06 · Parent Handoff Pack — 24 pages plus a 25-card conversation deck. A 16-item responsibility inventory, a 90-day transfer plan, coaching questions, a family communication agreement. Fillable and print editions.

07 · Quick-Reference Pack — Seven one-page sheets for the moments that happen. Screen, print and mobile editions.

Plus a two-page Start Here sheet that tells you what to open in what order.

How the download works

This is a digital product. Nothing is shipped.

You receive one ZIP file (12.8 MB) containing nineteen PDFs in seven numbered folders. Your download link appears on the order-confirmation page and is emailed to you at the same time.

Open 00 START HERE first — two pages telling you what you have and the order to use it in.

What you need: software that opens PDFs. To type into the fillable editions, use a reader that supports PDF forms — Adobe Acrobat Reader is free and works, as do Preview on Mac and most current browsers. Prefer a pen? Every fillable resource includes a print edition with write-in boxes.

Who it's for

This is for you if your student is 15 to 18 and college is on the table; you suspect the academics are fine and the independence isn't; you want a process rather than a pep talk; and you'd rather hand responsibility over on purpose than have it transfer by accident in October.

This isn't for you if you're looking for admissions strategy, essay coaching or scholarship hunting — that's a different product and this isn't it. Or if your student is younger than about fifteen, in which case come back in a year or two.

What this system does not do

It does not tell you what your college requires. Office names, deadlines, procedures and policies vary from one institution to the next, and anything claiming otherwise would be guessing with your student's semester.

What it teaches is the process — how to find the official answer, who to ask, what to say, and what to do with the reply. Every sheet that names an office states plainly that names vary and must be verified in your own institution's directory.

One system, not an ebook with bonuses

Each resource does one job and hands off to the next. They share a single framework, a single visual system and a single voice, and they refer to each other by name and page number. The Quick-Start Guide points at the Workbook. The Workbook points at the Main Guide. The Parent Handoff Pack assumes the student is working through the Challenge.

That's what makes it a system. It's also why it's sold as one.

Questions

Is this a curriculum?

No. It's a transition system. It doesn't replace any subject you're teaching; it addresses what happens after the teaching is finished.

Is this a physical product? Will anything be shipped?

No. This is a digital download — one ZIP file of PDFs. Nothing is printed, packed or shipped, and checkout won't ask for a postal address. You can print any of it yourself, and the print editions are designed for exactly that.

What exactly do I receive?

Nineteen PDF files in seven numbered folders, plus a Start Here sheet. Four of the resources come in both a fillable and a print edition; the Quick-Reference Pack also includes a mobile edition.

What software do I need?

Anything that opens PDFs. To type into the fillable editions you need a reader that supports PDF forms — Adobe Acrobat Reader is free and works, as do Preview on Mac and most current browsers. Some lightweight mobile PDF viewers don't support form filling; use the print editions there, or fill on a computer.

Do I have to print it?

No. Every resource works on screen. Print editions are included if you prefer paper, and you can print just the pages you want.

Is this for the parent or the student?

Both, deliberately. The Main Guide, Workbook, Card Deck, Challenge and Quick-Reference Pack are the student's. The Parent Handoff Pack is yours. They're built to be used together.

My student is already pretty independent. Is there anything here?

Probably the Parent Handoff Pack and the Scenario Card Deck. Confident students are often confident right up until the first process that doesn't go their way. The deck is for that.

Will this help with college admissions, essays or scholarships?

No. This system is about what happens after the acceptance — the independence a student needs once they're enrolled. Admissions strategy is a different subject and this product doesn't cover it.

Does it tell me my college's deadlines and requirements?

No, and deliberately so. Office names, procedures and deadlines vary by institution. The system teaches your student how to find and verify the official answer at their own college, and says throughout that those details must be checked locally.

How long does it take?

The Quick-Start Guide is one sitting. The 30-Day Challenge is a month of short daily actions. The Parent Handoff Pack runs on a 90-day plan. You can start anywhere, and nothing expires.

The semester starts either way.

Your student will handle their first real college problem alone. The only question is whether it's the first time they've ever done it.
